George is a Professor of New Testament at Regent College. He is a highly sought-after lecturer and recognised authority on the New Testament. Before joining Regent College in 2018, he taught for twenty-eight years at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. George holds both a PhD and MDiv from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a ThM from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. George's commentary on Philippians - Philippians: Christ's People Living in Unity and on Mission - is included in the Zondervan Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament series. George has also worked as a consultant on the ESV, CSV, NLT, and HCSB translations. As well as all this, George has a passion for equipping church leaders and laypeople to read and live the Bible more effectively.
